Evan Rudowski has worked in the online and internet industries for the past 20 years on two continents.

Evan is co-founder and director of SubHub (www.subhub.com), SubHub provides an all-in-one solution to enable clients to rapidly design, build and run their own content websites, generating revenue via advertising, subscriptions, ecommerce or from selling offline services.

Evan previously was founder and managing partner of Atlantic Leap Ventures Ltd., which specializes in helping U.S.-based interactive media, commerce and technology companies to successfully enter and expand in Europe. Atlantic Leap clients have included World Wrestling Entertainment; Revenue Science; Claria Corporation; UGO Networks; Motricity; Priceline Europe; Turbine Entertainment; GameAccount; Crystal Reference Systems; Immediatech and others.

From 1998 to 2001, Evan was managing director of Excite Europe, where he oversaw all aspects of the company’s activities, including a joint venture in the UK with British Telecommunications plc. At its peak, Excite Europe had 190 employees in London, Paris, Hamburg and Madrid and generated annual revenues of $30 million.

Evan has been profiled in publications including The Wall Street Journal Europe, The Guardian, Tornado Insider and Internet Magazine (UK) and has been a speaker at events including the Edinburgh Television Festival, Internet World and Dow Jones investor conferences.

Evan arrived in Silicon Valley in March of 1996 where he joined Excite as the company’s 45th employee. While there he served in a variety of senior roles at the company’s California headquarters, overseeing various product and business development activities. In 1997, he oversaw Excite’s City.net travel service, turning it into the number one travel site on the web.

Previously Evan had been based in New York where was business development manager at News Corporation’s iGuide Internet venture. He began his online career in 1987 at Times Mirror’s Newsday and New York Newsday, where he spent more than seven years working on the development and launch of some of the earliest online newspaper ventures in the United States. Prior to that, he worked as a journalist at several daily and weekly newspapers.

Evan has been a board member of the UK chapter of EO -- the global Entrepreneurs Organization. He has served as a mentor to executive MBA students at the London Business School's summer entrepreneurship programme. He has been a regular judge for the Editor & Publisher "EPpy" awards, and has been a member of the internet advisory board for the Media Development Loan Fund.

Evan earned his Masters degree in 1993 from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He earned his B.A. in Communication Arts in 1986 from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. At Hofstra, Evan was co-founder and editor-in-chief of Nonsense, the award-winning university humour magazine, and was president of the university chapter of Sigma Delta Chi, the Society of Collegiate Journalists.

Evan is 42 years old and lives in Bath, England with his wife and two sons. He holds dual U.S. and U.K. citizenship.
